It tells the story of a shelter for wild hares. When they find young ones in the field, left alone by their parents (or because they were killed by a car), the shelter takes care of those little ones. When they are fully grown, they are released back in the wild.
Number three of the triptych is very special for the client: it was the one time that one of the raised boys turned around and looked back, when he was released (all images: click to enlarge).

And a bit late: Happy Easter!
Hello Brigitte - Your hares are lovely. So realistic. Kathy
ReplyDeleteI love them, you are so talented:)Thanks for the comment:)
ReplyDeleteI am twitching with happiness, they are sooooo cute!!!! I love the stubby little ears on the first one. And the one looking back is gorgeously done! Looks like it should belong in a classic children's book. :)
ReplyDeleteMaar goed. Mijn e-mail adres is wilbertrenate@hotmail.com
beautiful drawings I especially love the baby hare - so sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove the illustrations, they're so sweet.
