Paint-and-draw-together #001

This spring I found this blog, Paint-and-draw-togehter by Lela (PADT). Every few weeks she posts a beautiful picture and 'challenge' everyone to paint or draw that picture. I've seen so many pictures last months, but never had time to participate. Until last week....

Painting classes have started again and we can bring our own material and topics to paint or draw. Since I like to try new things now and then, I decided to participate at PADT. Here is my result:

Challenge #2

So close before the deadline of Rookiepainter's Challenge, I managed to finish this drawing. Just a part of the reference photo, done in pastel (10 x 15 cm).

Challenge

I was alerted to the site of Rookiepainter by Judy, she is a master in watercolor. On Rookiepainter's site, there is a challenge every three weeks. Because I want to try new and other things, besides my animal portraits (which I still LOVE to do), and I need a subject for my classes, I decided to give it a try.
So here it is, Challenge #31 of Rookiepainter.
