One of this year's resolutions for me was to participate in IF as much as possible, but Zoë and me couldn't think of anything for this week. Even Zoë's friends Mr. Hedgehog and Mr. Owl where nowhere to find to come up with something...

IF: Winter

Zoë loves to play in the snow in winter. Sleigh-riding down the hill, going as fast as she can. Her friend Mr. Hedgehog is afraid to watch.

IF: Mail

Zoë started early this year to write a Christmas Card to all her friends, but the mail by Mr. Hedgehog is not going very fast. So therefore it's going to be a digital Season's Greetings:

Merry X-Mas to all of you!

IF: Prehistoric

Zoë wanted to know if there where sheep in prehistoric times. And yes, there was one of her ancestors in the petroglyphs. Luckily he made it - else Zoë wasn't born.

I had to look up the meaning of the word savour and I am not sure if I have interpreted right. But I had fun creating this illustration of Zoë (yes, she has a name!) in front of the Candy Store.

Animal Wednesday: and her name is ...

The last two weeks I asked you to help me name my little sheep, who is frequently present in my illustrations. I received a lot of fun responses, also new names. But the winning name is Zoë. You can check the chart below for all the responses.

When all her friends where gathered together to have the annual shave, this little sheep always hid in a sneaky way behind the trees.

Every year the same happens: when the shaving has been done, this little sheep is ashamed to show herself afterwards.

This little sheep went to town and spent too much on nice, new things for herself.

You would not expect it from a sheep, but this little one loves racing from the hill in a self made racingcar.

IF and AW: Spooky sheep

The simple costume of the little sheep was too spooky for her friends.

I had little time this week, to create something for IF and another thing for AW, therefore a double post. I've got a terrible cold and my voice is almost gone because of so much coughing. It is not helping my creative flow...

IF: Transportation

This little sheep wants to see more of the world, and choose a hot-air balloon as transportation.

IF: Proverb

Dutch proverb: "Als er één schaap over de dam is, volgen er meer".
Literal translation: "When one sheep has gone over the dam, the rest will follow"
Meaning: When one person has tried something new, the others are more willing to try it as well.

Animal Wednesday: lawnmowers

In our town they found a natural way of cutting the grass of the dikes: not with mechanical lawnmowers, but with a herd of sheep. This herd moves along the dike untill the grass is cut, and then move on to the next spot. Each year they pass twice at our house, so this morning I woke up from their bleating.
