Logo design

A few months back, I donated this drawing of a kitten for an auction. All revenues were for a catshelter.

One of the volunteers of this catshelter has started a new shelter. It is providing a home to cats that can't be (re)placed for whatever reason. This new shelter has six permanent habitants and the people run the shelter without any subsidy - they are completely depending on donations.
For raising money they have these projects and they needed a logo - I was picked to design their logo: here it is (translation of the name: 'catshelter Forget-Me-Not').

Season's Greetings

As the end of the year is close, I want to thank you all for reading my blog and leaving all those wonderful comments this past year. I also want to thank those who believe in me and give me the courage to try new things. In 2012 I had my first illustrated children's book published (thank you Virginia!), I started with oil paints and I designed my first birth card (I will show that one next week).

I designed this card for a friend of mine. She just had the first anniversary of her new company and wanted to give her most important clients a X-mas gift with a card for a personal note. (The text was not on the printed version - I just added it for this blog).

Logo design

Some time ago, I got an e-mail from a hamster-breeding stable, Sine Cera. They focus on quality rather than quantity - their offspring is healthy and when youngsters are born, they get a lot of attention, which make them great pets. And they wanted me to design a new logo!

This is the result:

Of course there had to be a hamster in the logo. The colour was chosen because of the line of breeds they have ('gold'colored hamsters).

This logo will be used on T-shirts, all their print work and, of course, their site: I've also designed the new banner for the site - go and take a look at their site!

Happy New Year!

De beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar voor iedereen! En dit hebben we op oudjaarsavond nog geprobeerd in beeld te brengen door middel van sterretjes, schrijven in spiegelschrift en een hele lange sluitertijd. En dan krijg je dit:

Geslaagd!

Hiep hiep hoera! Ik ben geslaagd voor mijn examens Grafisch Ontwerper/DTP-er!

Afgelopen weekend viel de brief in de brievenbus met meteen het diploma erbij! Toch wel lekker dat het nu allemaal achter de rug is. Drie jaar over gedaan (in vertraagd tempo) en ik vond het erg leuk om te doen. Het viel qua studiebelasting ook wel mee, het was vooral een kwestie van veel doen - opdrachten maken, beetje prutsen in CS3 - en dat ligt mij wel.

Nieuwe banner

Ben er even mee aan het prutsen geweest, maar voorlopig is dit mijn nieuwe banner voor mijn blog (tot ik weer wat anders bedacht heb!)

Nieuw uiterlijk

Hé, dat ziet er anders uit... heb gekozen voor een nieuw uiterlijk voor mijn blog. Ben er nog niet tevreden over dus het zou maar zo kunnen dat het de komende periode nog wel vaker verandert. Dus niet schrikken!
