News from Zoë

As you all probably remember, Zoë has a blog of her own. But she has some great news and wanted to share that here as well. So here it is:

On December 10th Meaghyn was born and her parents wanted a birth announcement, and wanted Zoë and Mr. Hedgehog playing a big part in it. I designed the card and prepared it so it could go directly to the printer. And here it is:

My first illustrated book!

I am so thrilled and excited: my first book with adorable stories for children is finished! I did all the illustrations, the idea of the book and the stories are from the lovely Virginia. The book is now for sale at her site: www.vcrea.nl.

Character studies

Some time ago I was approached by someone who was looking for an illustrator for her stories. She told me the headlines of some stories and they are amazing! So we both agreed that I would try to develop a character that would play a part in the illustrations.

I've made so many sketches, but I think I have found a character (it's going to be the one on the left). These sketches are done with simple ink and colorpencil. I want to 'play' with that some more (proportions).
