This week's topic is poise and also this word I had to check in the dictionary. For some inspiration I googled the word and found a quote which I used for my illustration:
"Lone eagles, soaring in the clouds, fly with silent, peaceful poise,
while turkeys, in their earth-bound crowds, fill the atmosphere with noise."
William Arthur Ward (American dedicated scholar, author, editor, pastor and teacher)

Fun interpretation. Love the style of your illustrations
ReplyDeleteNice angle. Love your eagle. Great soft style.
ReplyDeleteWhy be a turkey when you can fly like an eagle? :)
it's very sweet. i often think the turkey should be america's national bird, not the eagle.
ReplyDeletei love the quote, the illustration sure does suit it .... awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote, Brigitte, and a perfectly illustrated. I like both your eagle and turkey, very nicely done. And I also like the composition, the wide, open white space, very elegant...
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing - I really like how your bird in flight came out, and the textures on the birds are terrific.
ReplyDeletelovely illustration for the poem. :)
