Last week, at class, we got a new exercise: paint a white house in watercolor, without painting the house.
How? It was an exercise to show how you should leave white things untouched when you work with watercolor. It was a fun exercise, we only had 20 minutes for it (to sketch and paint). This is my result.

Mooi door eenvoud, volgens mij heb je de opdracht subliem uitgevoerd!
ReplyDeleteMoeilijk is dat hè, die negatieve vormen in aquarel! Maar ziet er goed uit, wat knap in 20 minuten!
ReplyDeleteNatuurlijk heb ik het origineel ook gezien en wil langs deze weg ook een reactie plaatsen. Het is een oefening met het weglaten van wit, maar daarnaast is het perspectief heel goed, en ook de compositie,(huisje uit het midden geplaatst) pakt goed uit.
